Position Summary: Sr. Cloud Engineer

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the role of Sr. Cloud Engineer in Woonsocket, RI. In this role, you will build, develop, and maintain cloud-native software web applications and systems to support CVS business needs and end customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cloud-native application development, web development, API integration, and real-time scaling to meet internal users and end-customer needs.
• Participate in the entire software lifecycle, including development, testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
• Develop large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting needs.
• Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytics.
• Collaborate with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms into automated processes.
• Leverage Hadoop architecture and related tools to build data pipelines and optimize queries.
• Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to create robust data pipelines and dynamic systems.
• Build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers.
• Ensure data quality and accessibility standards while integrating data from various sources.
• Analyze current IT environments to identify and assess critical capabilities, recommend solutions, and experiment with new tools to meet model/use case requirements.

Requirements

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Additionally, one (1) year of experience is required in each of the following areas:

• CI/CD and Jenkins
• DevOps, Java, Python, or JSON
• Cloud technologies: AWS or GCP
• Designing, building, and supporting stable, scalable data pipelines or ETL processes
• Big data platforms including Hadoop (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
• Software development for enterprise or web applications
• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performing, scalable code
• Testing quality assurance and troubleshooting
• SQL programming languages
• Analyzing large data sets from multiple data sources

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $111800.00/year to $180000.00/year. This range represents the base annual full-time salary for all roles within this job grade. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors such as experience, education, and geography.
