About The Role
Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge Enterprise Data Lake, Machine Learning, and Analytics technologies? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Cloud Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Cloud technologies.
Note: The ability to attain Reliability Status Clearance is essential. Applicants must have lived continuously in Canada for the last 5+ years at the time of their clearance application. No exceptions, please.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Enterprise Data Lake and related eco-system technologies.
- Proficiency with Amazon Web Services, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Design, develop, and manage AWS infrastructure and applications, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Data Catalog.
- Work with machine learning platforms like SageMaker and frameworks like GenAI for AI/ML model building and deployment.
- Implement data query enhancement tools using Starburst Trino, AWS EKS, and Athena.
- Utilize CloudFormation templates, perform performance tuning for queries, applications, and resources.
- Lead small to large infrastructure POCs utilizing defined technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures for all supported database platforms.
- Collaborate with Database Administrators and Developers to define and document requirements.
- Utilize DevOps methodologies to develop Python scripts for Windows and Unix (Linux) platforms.
- Follow Change Management Process and support project development within documented standards.
- Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for planned production implementations and disaster recovery exercises.
- Collaborate closely with team members, technical leads, and application support teams to ensure quality database services.
- Define, document, and implement consistent standards and procedures.
- Evaluate functionality and features within related database products.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or related IT field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Database Development, ETL, and Reporting.
- Strong conceptual and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Linux for efficient system management.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Python/Bash/PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
- Experience with EDL and related technologies.
- Knowledge of network services, Active Directory, Linux user and group administration.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required in Quebec for frequent interactions with colleagues or partners.
- Availability for on-call support and troubleshooting.
