Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Analyst, you will:
- Engage in business intelligence reporting and perform intense data mining using SQL Server and Oracle.
- Maintain and enhance your knowledge of current technologies and solutions applicable to Customs & Border Protection (CBP) needs.
- Develop, recommend, and oversee the implementation of comprehensive solutions for CBP, ranging from short to long-term strategic plans.
- Install and configure diverse applications while also providing tier-two support.
- Lead projects, ensuring the training and development of Project Specialists within the Systems Division.
- Create and update CBP databases and Excel spreadsheets for operational intelligence tracking.
- Analyze vast datasets to develop insightful statistical models and methodologies.
- Present detailed statistical reports to Senior U.S. Government Officials.
- Uphold data integrity, suggest improvements, and address system errors.
- Design, write, and manage standard operating procedures and integrity reports for the Statistics Data Integrity Unit.
Requirements for the Role
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in data analysis and statistics.
- Current CBP/DHS clearance.
- Advanced proficiency in Aqua Data Studios and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL, Qlik, Tableau, and database management.
- Experience in creating automated statistical databases using VBA and Visual Basic.
