As a Sr. Data Engineer at D2L in the IT Data Services team, you'll play a vital role in expanding and optimizing our data pipeline architecture, making data accessible and driving decision-making across the organization. Major Responsibilities

Here's how you will contribute:

• Streamline and prioritize data operations and maintenance activities in collaboration with the Data Services team lead.
• Evolving practice data at D2L through sustainable and scalable data pipelines.
• Ensure D2L’s corporate data security is aligned with contractual and data residency obligations.
• Build tools and processes for effective data extraction, storage, and processing, focusing on scalability and reliability.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and visualization experts to optimize data driven strategies for simple, self-service reporting and impactful business decisions.

Competencies

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Over 4 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a closely related field.
• Strong skills in database management, SQL queries, and report development.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and ETL systems, such as SSIS or Glue.
• A proven ability to work collaboratively, an analytical mind capable of creative problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Salary and Benefits
