About the Position: Sr. Data Engineer

As a Sr. Data Engineer at Core Scientific, you will tackle the challenges at the intersection of data center operations, atmospheric data, ASIC telemetry, blockchain networks, and cryptocurrency markets. You will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and optimization of our business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines, ETL processes, and data lakes across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments like Finance and Accounting to fulfill data, report, and analytics requirements.
• Design and implement reports/dashboards across the company using BI tools like Tableau and Databricks Dashboards.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to aid in business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
• Proactively explore data to uncover future opportunities and insights.
• Provide peer reviews and feedback, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, PySpark, SQL, and experience with large-scale datasets.
• Experience in data modeling and building reports with Tableau.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and similar platforms.

Work Environment and Conditions

This role is remotely based in the United States, embracing a digital workspace where you will typically use standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones. Expect a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with minimal travel required.
