Position Summary: Sr Data Engineer

Aetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the Sr Data Engineer role in Woonsocket, RI. You will develop, build, and manage large-scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing large-scale data structures and pipelines to address complex problems and support business applications.
• Designing and writing ETL processes, database systems, and tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
• Collaborating with the Data Science team to integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
• Testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems.
• Utilizing your knowledge of Hadoop, HDFS, and query optimization to build data pipelines.
• Programming in languages such as Python and Java to create robust data solutions.
• Building data marts and models that support Data Science teams and other internal clients.
• Ensuring data quality and accessibility from various sources.
• Analyzing IT environments to identify capabilities and recommend solutions for business problems.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field. Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have five (5) years of experience in the following:

• Programming in Java, Python, or R
• SAS or SQL programming languages
• Databases: Oracle, Teradata, or DB2
• Spark, PySpark, or Scala
• Hadoop and Hive
• Unix, Linux, or Shell scripting
• ETL or Extract/Transform/Load
• Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Pay Range: $125,029/year to $196,000/year

This pay range represents the base annual salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
