About the Role

The Senior Enterprise Intelligence Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of business intelligence solutions across various clinical and business operations. The role includes leading efforts to resolve complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Additionally, you will contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to support the overarching Nemours Enterprise Intelligence strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert in business intelligence solution development (reports/dashboards).
  • Engage with application analysts, business analysts, and end users to gather requirements and document specifications.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy business intelligence solutions adhering to departmental standards and best practices.
  • Cultivate productive customer relationships to ensure solutions align with the Nemours Enterprise Intelligence strategy.
  • Debug, monitor, and troubleshoot existing solutions and continually optimize them.
  • Collaborate with information systems teams to resolve data quality concerns.
  • Participate in data governance activities and contribute to team goals, product roadmaps, and strategic plans.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers to ensure collective team success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field preferred or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, design, and business intelligence solution development within a data warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of Snowflake Architecture, including its cloud-native design and data management capabilities.
  • Experience with Snowflake's bulk loading/unloading techniques and familiarity with external stages.
  • Proficiency in optimizing queries.
  • Experience working with the Azure cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • Ability to conduct moderate to complex data profiling and analysis to determine the best data sources.
  • Experience with source-to-target data mapping and designing flexible data models.
  • Collaboration skills with Data Architects and DBAs to translate logical data models into physical models.
