Job Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst ensures the overall quality of systems and technology released into ETP’s production environment. This role encompasses all aspects of quality including testing documentation, planning, execution, and validation using both manual processes and automated tools available at Southern Glazer’s. The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for meeting business requirements and overall business objectives by tracking and reporting quality metrics, documenting issues, and collaborating with development staff for resolutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a team leader for large-scale platform testing (SAP, JDA, etc.)
  • Lead the implementation and expansion of automated testing tools
  • Coordinate and schedule testing programs with project and program teams
  • Report testing outcomes to project stakeholders
  • Coordinate the work of 3rd party Quality Assurance teams
  • Perform quality and testing audits to ensure standards are followed
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Review 3rd party testing programs for quality and compliance
  • Understand programming languages and deployment tools
  • Identify test data requirements and maintain test data
  • Execute both manual and automated tests, document results and assist in defect resolutions

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in software testing tool implementation and maintenance
  • Create, run, and maintain reports to measure and track metrics
  • Participate in test automation including framework design and script development
  • Stay updated on software testing tools and QA best practices
  • Deliver quality and testing training to IT staff and project teams
  • Perform quality and testing audits across various IT functions
  • Coach and mentor team members, improve QA team efficiency, and resolve team conflicts
  • Plan and document succession planning within your scope of responsibility
  • Report HP ALM QA metrics and testing status to project and application team members
  • Support integration testing cycles through script execution, coaching, and defect resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field
  • 4+ years as a Quality Assurance Analyst or business analyst
  • 2+ years experience with QA Testing tools (Talend Data Quality, QuerySurge, Informatica, IBM InfoSphere, etc.)
  • Strong SQL skills with 4+ years of experience
  • Understanding of cloud technologies like Azure or AWS
  • Experience with management tools (Microfocus ALM, Microsoft TFS, Version One)
  • Understanding of API and multi-system integrations
  • 4+ years experience testing Data Warehouse technologies and reporting tools
  • Excellent team collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
