What You Will Be Doing
As a key player in our team, you will:
- Collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams to handle vast datasets, both structured and unstructured, to extract critical information.
- Perform cross-data-source analysis to enhance data unification processes in partnership with various teams.
- Lead the ideation and development of innovative data products from conception to operationalization.
- Engage in continuous tech research to keep our tools and methodologies ahead of the curve.
- Generate a roadmap for improving data quality by deeply understanding data sources, identifying challenges, and potential enhancements.
- Implement exploratory data analysis and data mining to pinpoint and act on product improvement opportunities.
- Design and own data metrics for machine learning modules, informed by business needs and customer feedback.
- Create insightful data visualizations to inform and drive our product roadmap.
- Support and mentor junior team members, enhancing our collective skill set and knowledge base.
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- An MSc or PhD in Numerate subjects or equivalent hands-on experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of impactful solutions.
- Strong coding skills, preferably in Python, and experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or Spark.
- Excellent ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in natural language processing, entity resolution, graph theory, or unsupervised machine learning techniques.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience integrating machine learning solutions into data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Big Data platforms such as Spark.
- A proactive approach to undertaking bespoke research and learning on-the-job as necessary.
