The Mission:

By efficiently processing and integrating data from hundreds of public and third-party sources, we strive to provide a complete portrait of every business. Leading financial institutions such as Capital One, Truist, and more leverage Enigma's data to better service their small business clients.
The Role:
At Enigma, data forms the crux of our product, making data science the driving force behind it. Our data scientists collaborate cross-functionally with other data scientists, engineers, and product managers. Your contributions will be assessed on the improvements made to our data accuracy and the increase in the usability and value of our product to our customers.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can effectively convert customer objectives into innovative solutions that employ machine learning, statistical methods, and high-quality code (we extensively use Python libraries and Spark)
- Maintains high standards for comprehensive analysis and model development by adhering to solid statistical practices to guarantee reproducible, high-quality outcomes
- Views data as a reflection of the real world and designs repeatable strategies for verifying results against ground truth
- Develops methods to identify and explore anomalies in our data, ascertain their source, and address them in a manner that enhances our product
- Thrives in collaborative, high-performing teams with quick iteration speed

Our ideal candidate will:
- Possess 6-8+ years of industry experience in statistics, experiment design, and distributed machine learning
- Have experience as a tech lead or manager of data scientists
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Possess an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
Extra credit if you:
- Have experience in credit risk modeling or extracting signals from credit card transaction data

Salary Range: $180,000-$240,000

Salary is one part of Enigma’s total compensation package which includes additional benefits and opportunities.
