Core Responsibilities

Your role will involve a broad range of tasks and contacts associated with Cloud FinOps. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Ingesting, transforming, and visualizing data for usability including management reports and Total Cost of Ownership transparency.
  • Supporting and enhancing the team’s Power BI skill development.
  • Handling administrative tasks within billing, such as PO creation for Azure and AWS services.
  • Validating data in Power BI by ensuring correct billing from Cloud Providers, goods received, and payments made correctly.

As a Tech Ops Student Worker focusing on Power BI, you will join our Cloud FinOps team dedicated to managing financial processes for our organization's cloud computing infrastructure. We cultivate a culture of shared cost responsibility.

The Cloud FinOps team includes three Tech Ops colleagues in Billund and Senior and Lead Engineers in Copenhagen. We are committed to continuous improvement and increasing value, working in an informal and humorous environment.

Do You Have What It Takes?

You are currently enrolled in a higher educational institution and can work 2-3 days per week for at least 18 months. Your educational background might be in IT, Procurement, Finance, Business Intelligence, Data, or a related field, with a keen interest in financial processes enabled by data and Power BI.

Additionally, you possess:

  • Strong Power BI skills including using Query Editor and understanding basic DAX calculations.
  • Basic SQL proficiency.
  • An eye for data visualization and the automation of data workflows.
  • A curious mindset and a proactive approach to tasks.

As a person, you're a great team player who shares knowledge and ideas, works well with different people, and communicates effectively. Being part of a collaborative team setting energizes you.

It's advantageous, but not required, if you have:

  • Insights into financial terminology and practices.
  • Experience with warehousing, databricks, data lakes, and data modeling.
  • Understanding of API and ETL, and maintaining tidiness across various datasets and tools.
