Your New Role

At Ambu, you’ll dive into a stimulating role within our R&D department, playing a pivotal role in our product development team. Based out of Ballerup, Denmark or Augsburg, Germany, your expertise in medical device engineering will contribute to designing cutting-edge endoscopy products, ensuring Ambu's continued market leadership and delivering valuable tools to healthcare professionals.

In your capacity as Systems Engineer, you will maintain a high-level technical overview across projects, aiding team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and integration. As a Technical Lead, you'll guide critical decisions and manage product documentation, from design inputs and outputs to technical reviews, inline with stringent regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Your tasks will include:

• Defining and overseeing technical management and product documentation in line with project objectives and design plans.
• Analyzing user and business needs to derive product requirements and ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO standards.
• Building and leading technical teams in collaboration with Project and Line Managers.
• Engaging with global stakeholders to capture user needs and translate these into innovative product solutions.

You will report directly to the Head of Systems Engineering within our Engineering & Imaging division, working cooperatively with our global manufacturing sites and R&D hubs, necessitating some travel.

About You

Ideally, you have a background in mechanical engineering or a related field, with extensive experience in medical device development, particularly in design control and systems engineering. Your track record should reflect robust design practices, preferably with single-use medical products, and a hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.

Your effective communication skills in English, both written and oral, will be key to collaborating across our global teams and with external partners.
