Summary

As the Team Lead for Business Intelligence, you will report directly to the Head of Engineering. Your role will be essential in fostering our data-oriented culture and driving actionable insights across the company. You will manage a small team of BI analysts, working closely with stakeholders from different departments to comprehend their data needs, formulate analytical solutions, and encourage data-informed decision-making. This offers the thrilling opportunity to substantially impact the success of the company by using data to drive business growth and efficiency.

Your role as our Business Intelligence Team Lead entails:

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of BI Analysts. This includes guidance, assistance, and training to promote success and professional growth within the team.
Data Strategy: Work alongside senior management to develop and implement the company's data strategy, syncing BI initiatives with all overarching business objectives.
Data Analysis and Forecasting: Direct and take part in data analysis activities, such as data mining, report creation, and dashboard development, providing actionable insights and endorsing data-informed decision-making. This also includes developing financial and other forecasting models.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations to understand their data requirements, and deliver timely and relevant insights.
Tool and Technology Management: Stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools and technologies, evaluating and suggesting new tools that enhance the team's abilities and productivity.
Data Governance: Ensure data quality, consistency, and security by promoting data governance practices and standards throughout the organization.
Project Management: Plan, prioritize, and oversee BI projects, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with project stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Consistently analyze and improve BI operations, tools, and methodologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred).
A minimum of 5 years' experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar field.
Previous leadership roles and team management skills.
Proficiency in BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Outstanding data visualization abilities.
Firm understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Strong SQL and database management abilities.
Hands-on coding skills, preferably with Python.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in project management is a plus.
Experience with NLP and ML technologies is a plus.
