Experience and Relevant Skills

Overall Experience: 6 to 8 years with 4+ years specializing in Power BI.

Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing: 3+ years of experience.

Data Modelling: 3+ years with Power Query and Power Pivot.

Power BI Expertise: 4+ years of deep technical knowledge with Power BI Desktop / Pro / Premium.

Advanced MDX and DAX Expressions: 2+ years of experience.

Visualization Skillsets

• Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop for dashboard and report development, including advanced formatting and navigation skills.
• Strong command of Power BI architecture and integration with embedded applications and security features, including Pro and Premium capabilities and Apps.
• Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating custom calculations is crucial. Experience with Query Editor and DAX formula troubleshooting for performance optimization.
• Responsible for developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
• Proficient in understanding requirements to translate data into informative reports and visuals.
• Sound knowledge of Power BI report publishing and administration, including role-based security and Power Automate integration for workflows.
• Experienced in troubleshooting data-related issues, maintaining Power BI infrastructure, and utilizing the latest Power BI features and best practices.
• Knowledge of Power BI gateway, content pack, advanced features of Power BI embedding using REST API.
• Experienced in working with multiple data sources and selecting import, live connection, and direct query data importing.
• Capability to create HLD and LLD design documents and unit test cases.
• Familiar with the latest monthly updates for Power BI services.

Database Key Skills

• Hands-on experience with T-SQL for creating stored procedures, functions, and handling data validations.
• Performance monitoring using execution plans and index tuning.
• Experience in designing and developing database objects such as tables, stored procedures, user-defined data types, and functions.
• Developed and implemented referential integrity rules through constraints, triggers, and views.
• Excellent knowledge of data modelling, including dimensions, facts, and DWH.
• Proficiency in understanding the data model for Power BI data visualization.
• Strong IT experience in database design, development, and BI of Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2012.
• Experience with data models, relationship management, and creating virtual/physical relationships and indexes.
• Familiar with SQL query execution plans and SQL profiler for performance tuning.
