The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is Dolby’s research division, committed to driving innovation and providing insights that will fuel the company’s growth. Our researchers possess diverse expertise, including AI/ML, algorithms, digital signal processing, audio engineering, image processing, computer vision, data science & analytics, distributed systems, cloud, edge & mobile computing, computer networking, and IoT.
As a Research Intern focused on 3D Immersive Visual Compression at Dolby, you’ll work on cutting-edge technologies under the mentorship of Dolby’s leading media technology experts, addressing real-world 3D immersive video delivery problems. This role is based at our research offices in Sunnyvale, California.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. You must be available to work full-time Monday through Friday for 12 weeks between September 2024 and December 2024.
Specific internship start dates: September 23, 2024.
The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $44-57/hr, subject to variation depending on the location. Compensation is determined by role, level, and location. Additional factors considered include job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Details on the specific hourly range, perks, and benefits for your location will be shared during the hiring process.
