We are seeking a highly competent Data Science Intern to join our team and solve real-world robotics issues. Our ideal candidates personify a proactive attitude and tackle their work with enthusiasm and resolve. Candidates are anticipated to demonstrate excellence in their respective areas and possess the ability to rapidly learn in a fast-paced setting. In this role, you will: - Define and validate metrics to accurately measure autonomy performance and assess system trustworthiness. - Support the development of our data platform and confirm its accuracy. Create a clear data view where metrics are reliable. - Correlate the Kodiak Driver's on-road performance with simulation results. - Collaborate closely with other teams, providing them with the necessary data for informed, time-bound decision-making. Qualifications: - BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or other related quantitative technical fields. - A robust understanding of data aggregation and statistics metrics implementation and their underlying mathematical/statistical principles. - Ability to articulate complex data in a straightforward, actionable manner. - Practical knowledge of usual data analysis, inference, and statistical modeling tools, using Python and SQL. - Ownership mentality and enjoyment in team collaboration to deliver actionable results. Internship Program Details: - Start Date: January 2024. - Our internship program lasts 12-16 weeks; the end date is flexible, based on individual requirements. - Location: Mountain View, CA. - Housing: Interns are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. The monthly salary range for this intern position is $9,166-$10,000. Our salary ranges are dependent on role, level, and location. The range stated on each job posting represents the minimum and maximum target for starting salaries for that position across all US locations. Individual pay within the range is determined by workplace location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
