Role Impact

The Coinbase Compliance Technology Team is crucial in achieving our aspirations. We focus on designing robust systems to meet BSA/AML regulations entwined with best industry practices. As a Data Analyst within this team, your contributions include enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and accessibility of Compliance data, crucial for multiple control functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner strategically with functional teams to analyze, model, and prioritize significant opportunities with actionable insights.
• Assess the effectiveness of Compliance controls through innovative data structure solutions and modeling.
• Lead and coordinate solutions for complex data challenges across business, data, and Compliance teams.
• Articulate data-driven narratives to influence decisions and strategies within the company and to leadership.
• Manage, design, and maintain essential data pipelines and controls with detailed documentation and technical prowess.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven capability to manage extensive and complex analytical projects independently across multiple teams.
• Strong background in statistical concepts with hands-on application experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming or modeling experience in Python.
• Demonstrates core cultural values in communication, positivity, learning, and efficient execution.

Nice to Have:

• Background in Risk and Compliance.
• Experience with GitHub, Model Validations, and external examinations.
• Previous experience or keen interest in the crypto sector.

Salary and Benefits: The target salary range for this role is $127,075—$149,500 USD, depending on location. Benefits include a bonus, equity, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
