Role and Responsibilities

The RFU is undergoing significant change, shifting towards a data-driven, user-centric organisation with market-leading digital capabilities. This role will play a key part in transforming customer experiences.

As a member of the small Customer Data & Analytics team, key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, cleaning, and analysing audience data to identify trends related to fan engagement, ticket sales, and customer behaviour.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence for actionable insights.
  • Designing comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards using Tableau.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver crucial customer intelligence.
  • Working closely with the Insights Team and Technology Team to solve business issues with data and insights.
  • Developing predictive data models to support business objectives.
  • Implementing segmentation opportunities and integrating CRM databases with Marketing Cloud.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the RFU's core values.

Required Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with CRM/database marketing and customer analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver insightful findings.
  • Effective communication skills for both verbal and written information.
  • Working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines and sets.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau preferred).
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics and GDPR regulations.

Desired

  • Experience with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
  • Experience with a Customer Data Platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Maths, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python.
