The successful candidate will transform data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Responsibilities of data analysts encompass completing full lifecycle analysis, including requirements, activities, and design. Data analysts will establish analysis and reporting capabilities. You are also responsible for monitoring performance and quality control plans to pinpoint possible enhancements. How Be an Owner - Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. - Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. - Source data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. - Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. - Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. - Collaborate with Circle Leads and C-Level to prioritize business and information needs. - Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Write it Down - Produce visually appealing reports and dashboards. - Create high performing ETL and ELT pipelines. - Carry out exploratory data analysis to comprehend the data, identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and formulate hypotheses. - Apply coding skills to work with data manipulation libraries and machine learning frameworks. - Obtain data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases. Required Skills - 3-5 years of experience in data, preferably within the fintech ecosystem. - BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics. - Robust analytical abilities. - Advanced knowledge of SQL. - Technical expertise with respect to data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. - Proficiency in Spanish and English. - Profound knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks). - Acquaintance with statistics and past experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc). - Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills - Familiar with Mr. Robot. - Proficient in cloud infrastructure. - Experience with billion-row datasets. - Background in statistics.
