Position Overview

As a Data Analyst II, you will oversee critical activities related to data integrity, security, and value enhancement. You will develop and execute essential reports, supporting the Center in its continuous development and evaluation of new care models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Center faculty and staff on both funded and unfunded research projects.
  • Engage in data cleaning, linking, analyzing, and presenting data associated with Center projects.
  • Develop and prepare analyses, communicate results, and assist in abstract, manuscript, and grant writing.
  • Support data capture and integration following all appropriate institutional, state, and federal data security and ethical requirements.
  • Analyze data and prepare it for presentation according to study design, including hierarchical modeling, survival analyses, and more.
  • Accurately interpret and communicate results, suggesting new and alternative approaches when necessary.
  • Develop analytic reports understandable by clinical and administrative staff.
  • Maintain data integrity and complete analyses as required, documenting and recommending improvements in data processing and flow.
  • Collaborate closely with IT management and staff, cultivating a culture of respect, learning, and flexibility.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent work experience and education. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of analytics experience, including report development and database application/management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and advanced database applications, including SQL, SAS, STATA, R, or other statistical programs. Knowledge of computer programming is preferred.
