Overview:

At ISS ESG, we bring expert knowledge across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters. Partner with us to integrate Responsible Investment (RI) into creating long-term value through market insight and expert analysis. We are currently seeking an ESG Junior Data Analyst to join our dedicated ESG Data Team in Manila on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

Your core tasks will include:

• Conducting both basic and advanced desk research and analysis on companies' management of environmental and social risks, alongside their compliance with international norms on responsible business conduct.
• Staying abreast of environmental, social, and governance trends and issues, with the ability to acquire industry-specific knowledge.
• Responding to internal and client queries to ensure alignment with data methodology and policy guidelines.
• Adhering to established work process standards to ensure the quality of data collection.
• Meeting pre-determined turnaround goals for work assignments.
• Escalating data interpretation issues when necessary.
• Conducting root-cause analysis for any identified data issues.
• Updating internal documents for performance metrics monitoring.
• Participating in working committees, projects, or additional tasks beyond core responsibilities.
• Maintaining both paper and electronic files as per ISS and client file retention policies.

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• Excellent reading comprehension and English language skills (both written and oral).
• A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Geology, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, International Studies, or related fields.
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in data collection and analysis, with a preference for knowledge in ESG and business research.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
• Quick learning abilities to master new concepts, theories, and processes rapidly.
• Willingness to work beyond traditional hours as required by the business needs.
