Gemini, our new project in collaboration with Square Enix; Maverick, a Triple-A game developed in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation; Bifrost, Victoria and Dagger are projects that we are developing under the self-publishing model. There is also a project in concept phase–Red, and two ventures in VR technology–Green Hell VR and Bulletstorm VR - a thrilling VR adaptation of our cult-classic shooter.

Job Description

People Can Fly is seeking a Data Analyst with a focus on the collection, interpretation, visualization, and analysis of player behavior data. The primary objective of this role is to transform complex data into a reporting structure aiding game development teams and publishing stakeholders in understanding the data and drawing actionable conclusions.

As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with the development team to enhance their products. Through your data expertise, you will identify opportunities where analysis can add value, suggest what data should be collected, and produce reports that will shape the future of our games. You will work with designers, marketers, product managers, and peer data scientists to discover insights to improve our ability to engage, retain, and monetize our players.

The successful candidate will possess excellent SQL knowledge and enjoy merging analytic skills with business acumen to provide the data and insights that fuel our continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to boost the impact of analytics. Become knowledgeable about the data and analytics infrastructure around the products you support. Find areas for improvement, make recommendations, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement those solutions.
  • Generate quick insights. Drive action through data insights on new game features, live game events, or upcoming game launches!
  • Create and provide ongoing reports and monitor the performance of our games.
  • Transform complex mathematical relationships into actionable dashboards, presentations, and talks. Edit large quantities of data in visually concise and understandable ways.
  • Define, create, and implement advanced quantitative models to evaluate user behavior. Identify crucial predictive variables for successful customer retention initiatives.
  • Evaluate A/B tests and multivariate tests to optimize mission-oriented decisions.
  • Conduct analysis using SQL and other database tools.
  • Guide best practices in tools and visual technologies to help evolve project dashboards to provide essential data for project monitoring.
  • Develop scripts and queries to import and manipulate clean data from multiple sources.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years’ track record of data analysis of digital business and gameplay data (or related analytics and reporting).
  • Proficiency in SQL, for both drafting new queries and reviewing/optimizing existing ones.
  • Demonstrable experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience in translating analytics findings to narrate a story with data to various types of audiences.
  • High mathematical and quantitative analysis skills with a passion for numbers and data.
  • Avid knowledge and passion for video games.
