What You’ll Be Doing in This Role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. Here's a flavour of the tasks you'll be involved in:

• Driving our data-centric approach to SEO, providing actionable insights to SEO leaders and collaborators to drive the growth of Canva’s digital presence.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to align SEO data strategies with broader company goals.
• Coaching a team of data scientists and identifying impactful opportunities for your team.
• Leading data strategy for the group and coordinating closely with the SEO leadership team.
• Finding creative and valuable insights about both Canva and our customers.
• Suggesting and running experiments to move our metrics, ensuring significant results.
• Building and maintaining visually appealing dashboards for group initiatives.
• Utilizing our extensive databases to tackle challenging and fun questions.
• Extending data literacy and curiosity throughout the entire company.

You're Probably a Match If:

• You have demonstrable experience leading data specialists and defining team strategy and data roadmaps.
• You've worked with subscription-based data sets and have experience with collaborative products.
• You are exceptionally competent with SQL; experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery is a plus.
• You know how to wrangle and analyze data using Python or R.
• You have experience optimizing product funnels, running experiments, and building effective dashboards.

About the Team

You’ll lead our dynamic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) data team at Canva for 10 months as parental leave cover. The SEO group is crucial in expanding user traffic and improving search rankings through content optimization and technical performance.
