Job Profile:

As part of the Cerner Machine Learning Ecosystem (CMLE) team, you will work on a scalable platform crucial for the development and operationalizing of machine learning models. These models are integrated into Oracle Cerner’s products to enhance functionality and deliver insightful intelligence within accustomed workflows, directly impacting client outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant software components for the Oracle Health ML platform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Construct and maintain data pipelines utilizing big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Hadoop.
  • Develop services to support real-time model inferencing using technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, and Flink.
  • Create infrastructure to assist model training and hosting workflows on healthcare data.
  • Monitor model performance and drive continuous improvements.
  • Mentor and develop other team engineers, enhancing team skills and project outcomes.
  • Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to production operations, ensuring the integration of quality code and operational best practices.
  • Utilize Oracle’s extensive internal tooling for software development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Take part in on-call rotations, resolving service issues as they arise.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience with distributed systems in a cloud service environment.
  • Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Background in Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Expertise in building highly available services and implementing service-oriented design patterns.
  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure components and production operations.
  • Proven ability to self-motivate and deliver complex software solutions effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for technical writing and presentations.
