About This Role

As a Software Engineer at Gojek, your main responsibility will be to design and develop high-performance solutions for our ML platform. You will work closely with Data Scientists to operationalize machine learning models ensuring high throughput and low latency, all within a robust, scalable framework.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Designing and building machine learning platforms to help Data Scientists productionize their models more efficiently.
• Engineering reliable, high-performance services to support intricate ML-driven functionalities.
• Optimizing ML models alongside Data Scientists for advanced use cases.
• Developing internal tools and interfaces that increase productivity and enhance accessibility to our products.

What You Will Need

To excel in this role, you should have:

• At least 2-3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, proficient in languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• A proven track record in building large-scale, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Experience in Big Data and stream processing frameworks like Spark, Kafka, and Flink is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
• A passion for Agile development practices such as test-driven development and pair programming.
• Experience with various database technologies and cloud deployment tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm).

Bonus Points If

You have:

• Familiarity with ML frameworks like TFX, Kubeflow, and MLflow.
• Knowledge of Data Science and ML libraries including Pandas, Scikit, TensorFlow, XGBoost, and Keras.

The Data Science Platform team at GoTo Group, consisting of approximately 10 ML and infrastructure engineers across Indonesia and Singapore, is dedicated to empowering Data Scientists with scalable, production-ready ML applications. Known for developing open-source MLops technologies such as Feast, our solutions play a vital role in Gojek’s core operations like driver allocation and fraud prevention.
