About the Team

The Strategy & Analytics (S&A) team at Stripe maximizes and accelerates operational efficiency, enabling Stripe to better serve our users. Acting as the COOs for Stripe Operations, we collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to manage day-to-day operations and focus on long-term strategic priorities. Our data-driven approach allows us to solve complex challenges, guide business planning, and streamline execution from strategy to goal-setting.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Core Analyst to enhance business performance in the Strategy & Analytics Data Foundations pillar. This role is critical to using data-driven insights to drive decision-making across Stripe Operations. You will work closely with technical stakeholders to address impactful challenges using data. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining key operational metrics and data pipelines, ensuring robust and reliable foundational data.

In collaboration with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams, you will implement data-driven solutions to optimize processes and tools. As a technical expert and bridge between Strategy & Analytics and operational partners, you will champion data usage in high-impact projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional, technical stakeholders to identify and address impactful challenges through data and analysis.
• Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of operational metrics and data sources.
• Partner with Data Science on machine learning model creation, feature generation, and performance monitoring.
• Work with Operations and Engineering teams to implement high-impact data projects and champion data-driven decision-making.

Who You Are

We are seeking candidates who meet the minimum requirements listed below. Preferred qualifications are a bonus but not mandatory.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in analytical roles.
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Mastery of SQL and understanding of relational databases; experience working with large datasets.
• Proficiency in Scala, Python, or another programming language.
• Skills in A/B testing, experiment setup, and analysis.
• Experience with applied machine learning techniques.
• Ability to use data insights to drive business and operational goals; excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Operations, Sales, Support, or Account Management.
• Experience writing and debugging data pipelines using distributed data frameworks (Hadoop/Spark/Pig/etc.).
• Experience with Scala Spark.
• Experience with Airflow.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• People management or project management experience in cross-functional projects.

Work Environment: Hybrid at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time each month in their local office or with users. This balance allows for in-person collaboration and flexible working arrangements suited to individual and team needs.

Pay and Benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $161,600 - $242,400. For sales roles, this range includes On Target Earnings (OTE) combining sales commissions/bonuses and base salary. The salary range will be narrowed based on experience, qualifications, and location during the interview process. Applicants outside the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview.
