About the Role:

As a Traceability Data Analyst at Barry Callebaut, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our data-driven decision-making processes. This position is pivotal in ensuring high-quality data verification, adept information provision, and expert data extraction and statistical analysis. You will be tasked with creating impactful data visualizations, drafting meticulous reports, and synthesizing research findings to support both strategic insights and operational improvements. Reporting directly to the Traceability Project Coordinator, you will be an essential bridge between data and actionable insights, serving both our internal teams and our external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management and Quality Control:

  • Lead the initiative to update and maintain the accuracy of farmer registers, collaborating with Agricultural Transformation (AT) teams.
  • Identify, rectify, and cleanse corrupted data, troubleshooting coding errors and related discrepancies.
  • Supervise the integration and quality assurance of data in our global platforms in collaboration with Monitoring & Evaluation teams.

Delivery and Mapping Data Oversight:

  • Conduct training for data processing teams and continuously enhance data collection and cleaning processes.
  • Analyze delivery data, interpret patterns and trends, and provide thorough ongoing reports to optimize operational processes.
  • Support the AT teams in managing and ensuring the quality of mapping and census data critical for operational transparency and efficiency.

Farming Yield Control and Risk Management:

  • Examine potential risk factors affecting our supply chain and implement solutions to mitigate these risks while ensuring data reliability for internal and client reporting.
  • Set up frameworks for regular reporting based on specified timelines to ensure continuous monitoring and evaluation.

About You:

You are an ideal candidate if you hold a diploma in Data Sciences, Statistics, Programming, Development, or a related field and have experience in agricultural traceability and sustainable development. Proficiency in French and English, strong analytical skills, and expertise in Microsoft Excel, GIS, and statistical tools like Python or R are essential. Experience within the agricultural development, traceability, sustainability sectors, or specific experience with cocoa or other tropical commodities will be highly regarded.
