Job Title: AI/ML Data Scientist

Barbaricum is in search of an experienced AI/ML Data Scientist to support the development and integration of advanced AI/ML models within a CENTCOM client's architecture and framework, located at CENTCOM headquarters on MacDill AFB. This program aims to implement state-of-the-art algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics, forecasting, and free text query capabilities in an AI/ML Decision Support Tool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop AI models utilizing machine learning algorithms and deep learning neural networks.
  • Integrate models with the Command Common Operating Picture data repository for real-time decision-making.
  • Create visual presentations of advanced analytic data on geographic models/maps and dashboards.
  • Support free text query functionalities within the AI/ML tool.
  • Develop specialized AI models to correlate various logistics datasets for specific objectives.
  • Construct predictive models from vast volumes of data, using machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
  • Ensure AI/ML workflows encompass Cyber, Knowledge, and Information Management aspects to support decision-making.
  • Build data ingestion and transformation infrastructure compatible with data repository APIs.
  • Develop AI/ML models adhering to enterprise standards for data sharing with joint enterprise systems.

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a highly quantitative field. A Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, or Mathematics) may replace 4 years of experience.
  • At least 8 years of military experience. Additional experience can substitute for education requirements.
  • Strong programming, software engineering, and data science skills.
  • Expertise in machine learning and deep learning algorithms and frameworks.
  • Capability to collaborate with Command Staff to integrate AI/ML workflows across various disciplines.
