We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to be an integral part of our Machine Intelligence Neural Design (MIND) team. This role concentrates on enhancing Apple products with cutting-edge ML solutions, from short-term practical applications to long-term revolutionary projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a dynamic contributor to our ML innovation, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing ML features and models to advance intelligent systems capabilities.
• Scaling model training efforts, constructing data pipelines, and optimizing system performance.
• Implementing groundbreaking machine learning algorithms.
• Enhancing software to expedite experimentation processes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will exhibit robust proficiency in the following areas:

• Strong Python skills and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Experience in training deep learning models and defining metrics for model evaluation.
• Knowledge in areas like object detection, facial recognition, and temporal machine learning (preferred).
• Background in HW/SW co-design for efficient ML model building (preferred).

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Additional experience in shipping ML features and products is highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary for this position ranges from $170,700 to $256,500, depending on your unique skills, experiences, and location. As an Apple employee, you’re also eligible for a variety of benefits and stock programs, including:
