The AIML Data team at Apple focuses on enhancing Apple products by treating data as the voice of our customers. Within this organization, the Search Analytics team’s objective is to shape the evolution of our products through comprehensive measurement, evaluation, and user experience analysis.

Your Role and Key Qualifications

As our Senior Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include building and leading a team of talented data scientists. You'll collaborate with Search engineering teams to refine and enhance search experiences across various Apple devices including iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, in multiple languages.

We're looking for someone with:

• A proven passion for data analysis, data-informed product innovation, and establishing a data-driven culture.
• Over 3 years in a managerial role, with a track record of recruiting top talent and scaling analytics organizations.
• Strong capabilities in managing complex relationships across different functions and building positive interactions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Technical expertise to collaborate with engineering teams and develop balanced solutions for rigorous analytics.
• Strategic vision to utilize data effectively in guiding product development and user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

In this transformative role, you will:

• Lead the development of sophisticated human rating and user-based metrics and measurement systems.
• Work closely on new product definitions, setting clear success criteria.
• Conduct impactful exploratory analyses to deepen our understanding of how users interact with Search on Apple products over time.
• Enhance team capabilities through strategic hiring, training, and developing tools and processes.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to design analytical approaches that optimize user experiences and models.
• Influence the development roadmaps of collaborative teams in search products and data analytics infrastructures.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is between $210,900 and $364,100, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. At Apple, you will also have access to comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted Apple products, and education reimbursement, among others. This role may also be eligible for bonuses, commission payments, and relocation.
