Job Description
As an Analyst in Finance Data Operations, you will be responsible for:
Data Architecture:
- Assist in developing data models to represent financial data structure and relationships accurately.
- Support the implementation of a comprehensive financial data architecture strategy.
- Integrate financial data architecture into existing systems and processes, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Data Integration:
- Align and contribute to T&F's data governance programs.
- Build a data estate to support future financial analytics work.
Data Transformation:
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency through data transformation and cleansing processes.
- Create comprehensive documentation for data models for stakeholders.
- Implement data validation checks to maintain data quality.
Data Visualization:
- Build data marts and associated functions (e.g., DAX) to produce essential financial reports.
- Automate monthly data exploration reports and their cross-channel distribution.
- Maintain regular updates and refresh of visual reporting estates within Power BI.
Data Sourcing:
- Collaborate with Data Modeling and Business Analysis teams to realize data sourcing requirements.
- Establish expertise on the lineage of financial data sources in collaboration with other functions like Product & Tech.
- Identify and operationalize reporting and data-driven decision opportunities across Finance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Finance team with data visualization to produce comprehensive reporting for stakeholders.
- Automate processes and report generation for efficient and accurate delivery.
- Lead data visualization project streams and collaborate closely with Business Analysts.
- Act as the finance team's expert on financial data visualization.
- Promote best practices in data architecture and visualization across the organization.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and handle project work as required.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience preferable.
- Proficient in technical skills including Power BI, Python, REST API.
- Experience in designing and supporting a data visualization estate, especially for financial datasets.
- Strong data literacy and stewardship techniques.
- High proficiency in MS Excel.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy are essential.
