Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer within the Data & Analytics team at Discover, you will build and maintain the Enterprise Machine Learning Platform, aligning with Discover's strategic objectives. This role involves full stack development, from designing user-friendly solutions to strategizing technical ecosystems in collaboration with diverse teams. Bring your innovative ideas to life and advocate for best practices, driving our solutions from concept to production.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and scale our data science technology capabilities, enhancing our enterprise machine learning platform.
• Implement the latest machine learning tools and frameworks for our Enterprise Data Science Community.
• Design, test, program, and deploy new features ensuring high standards of quality.
• Mentor Senior Associate Application Engineers, directing their work and aiding their growth.
• Lead design decisions and influence product development outcomes.
• Proactively design solutions to potential failures and remediate existing issues.
• Contribute to and lead technology-focused communities within Discover.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field combined with at least three years of experience in IT or Software Engineering is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with containerization (Kubernetes/Openshift), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Java, Python / PySpark, Spark, CI/CD technologies, and various data platforms (S3, Snowflake) will set you apart. An understanding of API service architectures and familiarity with software testing principles are also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
