About the Role

As an Applied Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Lead - Vice President in Operations at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will be working inside an applied Artificial Intelligence team at the forefront of innovation. You'll leverage cutting-edge technologies to improve software engineering processes and practices. This role involves close interaction with software engineers, business stakeholders, machine learning engineers, and researchers, to identify efficiency improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Formulate, communicate, and drive the implementation of AI solutions for challenging problems at the intersection of business and software engineering.
• Build robust, scalable, and reusable AI and Machine Learning capabilities.
• Collaborate with software engineering to design and deploy services integrated with strategic systems and processes.
• Understand our supported business thoroughly to drive practical and successful solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive data analyses, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic decision-making.
• Document and explain the rationale and design considerations behind the selection of Machine Learning approaches.
• Provide project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Machine Learning or related field.
• Proficient understanding of fundamental AI and Machine Learning techniques.
• Practical experience with statistical data analysis and experimental design.
• Programming skills in Python.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and business audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams with diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computing Science, or related fields.
• Research or work experience using AI and Machine Learning for software engineering.
• Strong presentation skills, client partnership, stakeholder, and project management skills.
