About the Role

As an Applied Scientist, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities:

  • Experiment and Develop: Manage the full model development lifecycle—from prototype to delivery, ensuring reproducibility and high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaborate: Work within cross-functional teams, valuing diverse ideas and partnering effectively with international colleagues.
  • Deliver: Ensure timely delivery of well-managed, innovative solutions.
  • Innovate: Leverage new technologies and approaches to tackle real-world challenges.
  • Inspire: Proactively communicate and articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences persuasively.

Who We Are Looking For

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline or a Master’s degree with equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of industry experience in IR, NLP, or ML system development.
  • Proficiency in software engineering for prototyping.
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with Python, Java, or Scala and writing production-quality code.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Over five years of practical experience in IR, ML, or NLP, whether in academia or industry.
  • Experience with large language model implementations and relevant high-impact publications.
