Associate - Data Analytics (SAS & SQL)

Job Summary:

Audience Targeting at JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Associate in Data Analytics with a strong background in SAS and SQL for our Home Lending and Retail Banking sectors. This role is pivotal in partnering with marketers to refine requirements, design targeted segments, and execute the delivery of final audience data sets. It involves intricate business analysis and database marketing tasks necessary for the successful execution of complex portfolio marketing campaigns and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Associate in Data Analytics, you will:

• Develop and execute SAS code to define customer populations for targeted marketing campaigns.
• Create functional specifications for campaign execution and engage in daily coordination with stakeholders to clarify requirements and timelines.
• Analyze data from various sources, addressing inconsistencies, and transforming them into detailed technical specifications.
• Ensure strict adherence to campaign execution processes and suggest improvements to strengthen control procedures.
• Validate, audit, and test program outputs to meet original requests and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
• Respond to ad-hoc queries and contribute to special projects as required.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Over five years of experience in Base SAS programming, skilled in procedures like Proc Freq, Proc Format, Proc Sort, Proc SQL, and Proc Summary.
• Proven background as a Business Analyst with strengths in requirement gathering and stakeholder interaction, including offshore partners.
• Experience in database querying with systems such as Oracle or Teradata.
• Previous exposure to marketing operations, direct marketing, or data analysis, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to distinguish between users' needs and wants, suggesting practical alternatives when necessary.
