Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to join our Pharmacy Benefits Management Enterprise Data Warehouse team. This is a hybrid role based in Irving, TX, or Chicago, IL. As an Associate Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing applications and designing solutions that meet business requirements, progressively moving our data warehouse toward future-state architecture.

This position demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow through on tasks. While you will be primarily working remotely from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, you will need to attend onsite meetings in our Irving, TX office for team events approximately once a quarter.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ months of Data Engineering/Data Integration experience
• 6+ months of SQL experience
• 6+ months of ETL experience (e.g., Informatica/DataStage)
• 6+ months of Relational Database experience (Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle)
• 6+ months of Cloud computing experience (preferably GCP, but open to AWS or Azure)
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in a cross-functional environment
• 6+ months of Teradata BTEQ scripting experience
• Healthcare industry experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical team members
• Strong work ethic—willingness to work evening and weekend hours occasionally (approximately 2-3 times/year)
• Ability to drive clarity of purpose and goals during release and planning activities
• Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $61,800.00 - $131,800.00 annually. The actual salary offer will depend on various factors including experience, education, and geography. This position is eligible for CVS Health's bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range.
