Job Description

As a Data Engineer at Providence Health & Services, you will work with Oracle and/or Azure cloud environments to ingest and transform strategically important data. Develop scripts for de-duplication, normalization, and source/target mapping to integrate data from enterprise systems such as ERP, workforce management, IT environment management, and healthcare data systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 3 years of Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills (Python) / Pyspark.
• 2 years of Advanced knowledge in SQL and Database Functions.
• 6 months of Internship or job experience in data science fields, including Supervised learning, Unsupervised learning, recommendation systems, computer vision, NLP, neural networks, or other data science models/techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 1 year of experience working in Azure Cloud Environment.
• 1 year of Healthcare industry experience.

Position Details

This is a full-time hybrid position with remote work considered. Travel may be required up to 10% of the work schedule. The salary range for this position is $43.48 to $68.83 per hour, based on the primary work location in Renton, WA. The salary range may vary by state and region, influenced by internal pay equity and geographic cost of living differences. We welcome open and transparent discussions on salary at Providence.
