Our team also focuses on Group Data & Advanced Analytics and Enterprise Architecture, playing a crucial role in advancing Deutsche Börse Group's overall strategy. Key objectives include driving transformation, leveraging innovation, and ensuring stable production operations.

The CTO division supports all CIO/COO divisions with cutting-edge technology and data services.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer and an experienced Golang developer, you will be a vital part of the Reference Data team. You will leverage your expertise in end-to-end dataflows—ingestion, throughput, validation, transformation, verification, and output, including various API formats. Your role will involve implementing data requirements into technical solutions using Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks). Collaborate with our international team, including Data Architects, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers, to ensure a data-driven approach. Help us build a new Reference Data platform managing over 8,500 attributes, 140 million daily data updates, and 76 million instruments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and test software components/services.
  • Implement data pipelines, data models, data services, APIs, and data quality metrics.
  • Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Play a key role in architectural and design decisions for a high-performance microservices distributed architecture.
  • Collaborate with data architects, software engineers, functional analysts (FAs), and testers.
  • Lead the transformation of our reference data applications to the cloud.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the financial industry, with a strong background in post-trade processes, clearing, financial regulations, and compliance is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure and/or GCP), Azure Data Bricks, and data lakes.
  • Willingness to learn Go programming language and proficiently use Go frameworks and tools.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
  • Experience in agile project methodologies with a solution-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a cross-location international team.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
