Position: Azure Data Engineer (ETL) – EMEA Local Systems Team

Based in Chennai, this role involves supporting our BI setup for the EMEA markets. Working closely with product owners and key stakeholders, you will help update architecture and data models in response to new data needs and source system changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage custom databases/solutions using SQL and SSIS, both on-premise and in Azure.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design, build, and deploy ETL and data management processes with reliable error handling and rollback frameworks.
  • Oversee data architecture & pipelines, managing data flow from various sources.
  • Participate in designing and documenting database architecture.
  • Utilize agile development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Business Partner Team and stakeholders to evaluate technical risks and viability.
  • Provide production support for data load jobs.
  • Write SQL scripts for automated periodic reports and applications.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing applications.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
  • Proficient in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and TSQL.
  • Experience in data modeling and working with star schema.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with the full application development life cycle.
  • Knowledge in Master Data management and data warehouse design.
  • Experience in unit, integration, and performance testing.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, TFS/GIT, and deployment tools.
  • Experience with Azure cloud solutions and APIs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
