The Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work as part of a team to develop Cloud Data and Analytics solutions

Strong experience as an Azure Data Engineer and must have Azure Databricks experience.

Demonstrated experience of transforming business use cases and requirements into technical solutions.

Expert level knowledge on , Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL VMs, SQL Server , Python  is required.

➼Responsible for physical database architecture and design, capacity planning, development, performance tuning, implementation, and support of the applications from a database perspective.

➼Conduct T- SQL Code Reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices and avoid potential performance issues.

➼Attend CAB (Change Advisory Board) meeting and get proper approvals from product owners to implement DB changes.

➼Document operational or newly engineered solutions properly to educate and inform the clients and DBAs from different levels of the organization.

➼Work on Writing custom stored procedures, t-SQL queries, PowerShell scripts, views, and triggers based on requirements for DB maintenance and automate tasks.

➼Work on writing technical and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documentation.

➼Join bridge calls to troubleshoot and fix P1(SEV1) and P2 (SEV2) incidents.

➼Work on performance tuning like provide suggestions to create indexes and tune stored procedures.

➼Troubleshoot recurring problems and fix them permanently.

➼Conduct DB DR Drill activity, ensure to bring the DR site online if any outage at Primary site.

Experience with Git/TFS/VSTS is a must.

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

7+ years experience with Azure Data Engineering

Hands-on experience in Azure Databricks – Mandatory

Experience as Data Engineer in Azure Big Data Environment

Expertise in tools i.e. (SSIS, Data Stage)

Expertise in Implementing Data Warehousing Solutions

Experience with working in Agile (KANBAN, Scrumban) environment as part of a scrum team

Programming experience in Scala or Python, T-SQL

Hands-on experience in Azure stack (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory)- Optional

Good understanding of Azure Databricks platform and ability to build data analytics solutions to support required performance & scale

Good understanding and experience working on Deltalake using Apache Delta in Azure Databricks

Experience working on performance tuning and optimizing long running jobs

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly those that apply to a big data environment.

Good understanding of Modern Data Warehouse and Data Warehousing concepts

Proficient in a source code control system (e.g. CodeCloud)

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field
