Role Outline: Azure Data Engineer

As part of our EMEA Data team based in Chennai, you'll tackle the challenges of developing, monitoring, and optimizing data systems that enhance our business intelligence capabilities. Your contributions will directly impact the decision-making processes across different EMEA markets, ensuring the precision and accessibility of vital data insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy robust ETL frameworks and data management systems using SQL and SSIS within Azure environments.
• Enhance data flow and architecture, managing data integration from diverse sources to optimize information accessibility and utility.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during project scoping by communicating technical risks and strategic solutions to various stakeholders.
• Develop and fine-tune database and application infrastructures, ensuring compliance with agile methodologies for optimal project delivery.
• Produce and maintain periodic reports through customized SQL queries, supporting strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, complemented by demonstrated experience in SQL Server Integration Services and data modeling.
• Proficient in Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Automation, and Azure Data Lake technologies.
• Skilled in Agile project management, API integration, and both unit and integration testing.
• Excellent communication abilities, with a knack for translating complex technical details into comprehensible terms for non-technical stakeholders.
