We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our Data and Machine Learning team at Linktree. In this role, you will focus on crafting scalable and performant backend systems that bolster our data handling and machine learning endeavors. This position plays a pivotal role in enabling us to offer innovative capabilities to our extensive user base globally, supporting Linktree's mission of empowering individuals to manage and expand their digital presence.

About the Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, testing, and scaling high-performance backend systems that enhance our ML and AI capabilities.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate these systems effectively into our core products.
• Engaging in agile, rapid prototyping and experimental sprints to innovate and iterate swiftly.
• Maintaining and optimizing system performance to ensure robustness and scalability.
• Promoting best practices in backend development and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 4 years of experience in backend engineering within a high-growth tech environment.
• Proven expertise in backend technologies, with a solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience in building data pipelines and working with offline data processing technologies.
• A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or physics.
• A track record of delivering software projects that drive significant business impact.
• Experience with agile product development and the "build-measure-learn" approach.
• Ability to work onsite in our London office for three days each week, with flexibility to work from home two days a week.
