Your Mission as a Big Data Architect

As the Architecture Owner in the Big Data environment, you play a pivotal role in the conceptual development of transaction processing solutions in online banking. Within the Online Transaction Store (OTS) team, we process clients' bank transaction data in real time, ensuring that our microservices deliver these data to e-banking and mobile banking platforms, as well as other systems, within milliseconds.

OTS allows the integration, analysis, and enrichment of financial transactions with metadata, delivering to online clients through a microservices layer. Your passion will drive the OTS domain, where you will take charge of further innovative analytical solutions within the company. One of your many challenges will be to manage the rapid delivery and aggregation of search queries from various source systems, such as the Core Banking System, using sophisticated search indexes (OpenSearch).

What You Will Accomplish

• As the Architecture Owner, you are responsible for designing, advancing, and implementing the Big Data stack and data pipelines.
• You will take ownership of the architecture and technological aspects of OTS’s database and search systems, representing the team in architectural, technological, and security matters.
• You will oversee projects from initiation to launch, and collaborate on solution designs with your team.
• Advise development teams and departments on technical aspects.
• Produce beneficial, sustainable architectural documentation and guidelines focused on Big Data and search solutions.

What You Bring to the Role

• Completed tertiary education (Higher Education, University of Applied Sciences or University) in computer science or a related field with further education.
• Proven experience as a Software Architect in conception, design, development, and operation of Big Data solutions.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Big Data technologies (ETL, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, KAFKA, Open Search) and microservices (Spring Boot).
• Skills and experience in data modeling techniques.
• Proficient in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
