Join Our Team as a Civil Engineer in Data Center Design at Meta

At Meta, we are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a skilled Civil Engineer to become a part of our DEC Design Team. This full-time position focuses on the development and execution of global Data Center projects, ensuring innovative and efficient design solutions from inception to operation.

About the Role

Your role as a Civil Engineer will involve providing expert civil engineering leadership throughout the lifecycle of our data center facilities. You will be integral in crafting and executing designs that enhance our infrastructure's capability to support Meta's advanced computing environments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading the technical review and oversight for new data center designs.
• Supporting site selection, due diligence, master planning, and permitting.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external consultants to uphold Meta's high standards of design and construction.
• Guiding the development of Meta’s civil and geotechnical standards and new civil discipline products.
• Traveling to different data center sites for engineering studies, audits, or incident management.
• Participating in Root-Cause Analysis for system failures and providing emergency support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer registration or equivalent.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in supporting large-scale industrial and utility planning and construction.
• Proven experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other industry-standard software.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and codes.
• Fluent in English with effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data center or other mission-critical projects.
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• LEED Accreditation or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
