Clinical Data Scientist Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Clinical Data Scientist include:
- Identify data sources and propose a data preparation approach using raw data sets.
- Identify, select, and potentially combine key variables.
- Prepare datasets based on specification needs.
- Set up and refresh Cluepoints reports (KRI, DQA) regularly in accordance with study specifications.
- Run additional analyses with B&P/TO teams to understand findings when appropriate.
- Provide elements of interpretation to the RBM Clinical Data Risk Analyst to understand the signals.
- Prepare written reports summarizing results, including data findings and identified signals.
- Support the definition of actions to adapt the RBM strategy to signals.
- Collaborate closely with the RBM Clinical Data Risk Analyst.
- Follow RBM processes for global and local teams.
- Mentor new RBM Clinical Data Scientists.

To excel in this role, you should have experience with the following systems and skills:
System Proficiency
- SAS EG
- Rave
- Cluepoint
- Anaconda3
Skills
- Cluepoint: Extensive experience with Cluepoints is highly valued. You should understand the Cluepoint smart engine and assign proper tests for KRI to ensure sensitivity. Familiarity with KRI & DQA dashboard setup/refresh processes in Cluepoint is essential.
- SAS: Develop programs based on reference code and KRI specifications.
- Python: Update parameters, execute programs, perform debugging, and handle minor/major updates.
- KRI Specification Writing: Translate natural language to programming language based on related documents.
