Job Summary

As a Clinical Data Scientist in our Clinical Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in implementing CHS’s data science vision and strategy. Focused on Physician Practice Services, this role involves analyzing complex data from over 900 practices and 6 million patient encounters annually, to develop predictive analytics that support healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.аг>

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Data Scientist, you will:

• Collaborate with senior leaders across multiple departments including finance, operations, and nursing to define AI-driven project opportunities.
• Design and implement end-to-to-end data science solutions using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Develop innovative applications in areas such as patient return risk, demand forecasting, and clinical documentation with the goal of optimizing service delivery and patient care.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

• An advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid experience in a healthcare environment, with hands-on expertise in managing large clinical databases and applying ML/AI principles.
• Proficiency in Python and common libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow), and experience with SQL and BI tools like Tableau or Looker.
• Strong capabilities in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes.
