Ford Motor Company is eagerly seeking a highly experienced GCP Cloud Data Engineer with a robust background of at least 12+ years in spearheading and executing GCP data projects, ideally with a focus on implementing comprehensive data-centric models.

Role Overview:

As a vital contributor, you will be responsible for designing and deploying a Data Centric Architecture within GCP for our Materials Management platform. This platform interacts with a mix of modern and legacy applications across diverse domains like Product Development, Manufacturing, Finance, Purchasing, and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer data-centric solutions on Google Cloud Platform utilizing tools such as Storage Transfer Service, Cloud Data Fusion, Pub/Sub, and more.
• Construct robust ETL pipelines to facilitate data integration from varied sources.
• Deploy and optimize databases like Bigtable and Cloud SQL, tailoring them to project needs.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to align data solutions with business requirements.
• Enhance data security and governance across platforms ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Support data science teams by integrating machine learning models for advanced analytical solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of growth and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive IT experience, specifically with a focus on Cloud Platforms and ETL tools.
• Experience in implementing SAP modules within the automotive sector is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in data requirement analysis and SAP’s ACTIVATE methodology.
