Position Overview

Far Ridgeline Engagements LLC, a QinetiQ US Company, is seeking an experienced Computer Scientist (Software Design & Analysis) to lead a growing team on a US Department of Defense operations support project. The role involves delivering software and software analysis solutions to meet various client and client-customer mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical tasks in software design, implementation, and integration projects.
• Analyze customer needs and design, develop, and install software systems accordingly.
• Recommend software upgrades or newly available options that better meet customer requirements.
• Develop repeatable processes.
• Communicate clearly with team members and customers through verbal and written means.
• Expand existing software to meet changing needs.
• Identify, research, and present new solutions as technology and opportunities arise.
• Develop new software from the ground up, working closely with stakeholders.
• Create fault-tolerant programming and a thorough quality control process.
• Write tests for both existing and new code to ensure compatibility and stability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• 8 years of experience in full-stack software development (Golang, Python, C++, JavaScript, Java, etc.).
• Proficiency in coding microservices and APIs to connect front-end and back-end services.
• Experience with PKI for authentication and authorization.
• In-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CMSs.
• Knowledge of SQL and Postgre databases.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers hosted on VMWare ESXi hypervisor and cloud infrastructures.
• Familiarity with GitHub and GitLab.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking.
• Skills in data analysis, modeling, visualization, processing, and high-performance computing.
• Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly, or ability to obtain poly before the start date. (#qinetiqclearedjob)

Preferred Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.
• Specialization in firmware and graphical user design.
