About the Role

As a Computer Vision/Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing advanced robotic welding solutions. This position calls for adept skills in computer vision, deep learning, and Python programming, as you will tackle unique challenges and work collaboratively with talented teams to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge algorithms for robotic perception, tailored explicitly for advanced welding tasks.
  • Utilize a variety of vision sensors including RGB/GigE, LiDAR, and ToF depth sensors.
  • Engage in research to creatively address welding-specific challenges using comprehensive image and point cloud data.
  • Design and execute experiments to assess deep neural networks and machine learning systems, with a focus on deep learning strategies.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Robotics, Computer Vision, and ML research, integrating these innovations into our projects.

What We Look For

Ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, specialized in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in developing machine learning algorithms or applications, reinforced by real-world project engagement.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and solid fundamental knowledge in neural networks and data-driven models.
  • A keen interest in contributing to a dynamic start-up environment and making a significant impact.

Best way to stand out:

  • Contributions to top conference publications such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML.
  • Passion for the field demonstrated through personal projects or internships.
  • Additional skills in C++ and ROS are highly advantageous.
