Key Responsibilities:

Guidehouse, a premier management consulting firm serving both public and commercial markets, is seeking a Managing Consultant to join our Life Sciences team. This team supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies with insights, strategy, and implementation. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with our Advanced Analytics and Intelligent Automation team to shape the growth of our Life Science advisory and data services business.

As a Life Science Managing Consultant – Data Scientist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing subject matter expertise on commercial data and analytics, including claims, EMR, and formulary data.
• Analyzing client business challenges and matching them to data and analytical capabilities.
• Developing scalable processes for large-scale data analyses, including model development, validation, and implementation.
• Structuring and executing analytics plans such as inferential studies and structured decision support.
• Scoping, selling, and delivering commercial data projects including market sizing, provider profiling, epidemiology studies, and more.
• Pursuing and securing new business while aligning client problems with data/analytic plans.
• Monitoring trends and opportunities for growth in commercial analytics and real-world evidence.
• Managing contract budgets, sharing best practices, and evolving our data analytics capabilities.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with:

• Security Clearance: US Citizenship
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of relevant experience in management consulting, commercial analytics, and/or real-world evidence generation within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in analytic tools like R, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with multiple third-party data vendors including IQVIA, Komodo, and Symphony Health.
• An understanding of how healthcare data is generated and processed.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex projects.
• Experience managing a team, including providing feedback and coaching.
• Experience leading teams in data analytics and visualization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: M.S./M.A. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or similar disciplines.
• Experience integrating commercial and claims datasets for high-quality insights.
• Experience delivering fully automated analytics for software data products and services.

Annual Salary Range: $109,100.00 to $163,700.00. Compensation decisions are based on various factors including skill sets, experience, and qualifications.
